A man suspected of attempted assault was taken into custody in Glendale Thursday morning after an hourslong standoff with police prompted the evacuation of several apartment units, authorities said.
Officers responded about 1 a.m. to a report of a resident who attempted to assault another resident with a bat in the 1800 block of Vassar Street, according to the Glendale Police Department.
